FretWorks is: Neil Wookey

Originally formed as a duo FretWorks had performed with growing success over 5 years. Unfortunately due to failing health one of the original members, Stewart King had to retire in late 2018. It was decided that despite the loss of Stewart, Neil would continue into 2019 and beyond as a soloist. 

Neil has been playing guitar for over 60 years and had appeared in several events and locations around the world before teaming up with Stewart in the summer of 2013. Since that time Neil has acted as lead singer and lead guitarist for FretWorks in over 500 gigs stretching from Leicester to Weymouth.

Formed with the aim of reflecting their taste in music from the 60's, 70's and beyond. The Fretworks sound is very nostalgic and will take you back to an era when guitar based groups were king.

Since forming the duo had become very popular both at 

public venues but also at private parties. However since going Solo Neil has already attracted bookings from previous clients as a soloist. The aim is to keep the same great sound and to this end Neil has invested in a new top of the range Bose sound system to further enhance the sound. 

FretWorks have no set playlists but instead adapt the sets to suit the venue whether it's quiet background music or a party environment.

With over 550 songs in his repertoire Neil can entertain you whatever your taste in music from that era. From America to The Zombies, from The Eagles to The Yardbirds and of course from The Kinks to the Beatles and even some Coldplay, REM & Travis. Neil has created a fantastic set of backing tracks to bring those old athenmic songs to life and recreate the sounds & feel of the 60's & 70's and beyond.
